About Katya
Katya Dmitrenco is the founder of KD Brows and Coming Home to You. She is an artist and entrepreneur, but those titles tell only part of her story. Katya is also someone who notices how a space feels, who loves a long conversation, and who believes there is beauty in the ordinary moments we often rush past.
Born in Moldova with Ukrainian roots, Katya spent part of her childhood with her grandparents while her mother built a life in the United States. At thirteen, she crossed an ocean to reunite with her. At nineteen, she moved to Los Angeles alone, carrying her savings and the hope of creating a life of her own.
She worked, learned, and found her footing in a city where she had to make her own opportunities. Drawn to the precision and artistry of brows, Katya founded KD Brows in 2015. She built it appointment by appointment, earning her clients’ trust while learning every side of running a business. Over time, her work grew into a beauty studio, a product line, and an academy where she could share her knowledge with other artists.
Her vision was always bigger than a beautiful result. She imagined KD Brows as a sanctuary for the art of beauty, a place where people could slow down, feel cared for, and leave feeling more like themselves. The atmosphere she created matters to her as much as the work itself.
For years, Katya gave much of her energy to building that world. Along the way, she began to ask what a full life might look like beyond her accomplishments. That question has stayed with her through travel, changing relationships, quiet periods of reflection, and the everyday work of learning to listen to herself.
It also led her to create Coming Home to You. Through a guided journal, women’s circles, and gatherings, Katya makes space for women to speak honestly, connect with one another, and remember how to come home to themselves. Her approach is warm and curious, shaped by her own experience rather than a belief that anyone has life completely figured out.
Away from work, Katya finds joy in cooking for people she loves, traveling with an open mind, spending time in nature, and coming home to her dogs. She values meaningful conversations as much as silence, and is drawn to the small details that make a day feel alive.
Katya continues to create and evolve, guided by a question that lives in both of her worlds: what becomes possible when someone feels safe enough to be fully themselves?
